Smart Alecks (1942) THE EAST SIDE KIDS



Time for a 1942 East Side Kids flick from Monogram Pictures, "Smart Alecks."

 In this one, Danny helps to capture a wanted criminal and receives a $200 reward. However, he has a falling out with the gang when they believe he should share the money with them. Complications ensue when the crook that Danny helped capture escapes from jail and comes looking for him.

 This one stars Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, Bobby Jordan, Gabriel Dell, Stanley Clements, Bobby Stone, and Sunshine Sammy Morrison.

 Original story and screenplay by Harvey H. Gates.

 This movie was produced by Sam Katzman and Jack Dietz (for Banner Productions) and directed by Wallace Fox.

 This is an Astor Pictures re-issue print.
