Time for a 1936 movie "I Conquer The Sea," starring Steffi Duna!


In this one, the captain of a fishing boat loses his arm while out at sea.  He determines not to let the loss of his arm ruin his life as he goes back out to sea as a one-armed sailor.


Steffi's joined in the cast by Stanley Morner (a.k.a. Dennis Morgan, who came courtesy of MGM), Douglas Walton, and George Cleveland.


Story adaptation by Richard Carroll and dialog by Rollo Lloyd and Howard Higgin.


Produced by Edward Halperin and directed by Victor Halperin.


This Halperin Pictures production was released by Academy Pictures Distributing Corporation.


Some scenes were shot on location in Newfoundland.

Joan Woodbury, Fuzzy Knight, Monte Blue, and Forrest Taylor were also in the cast. Screenplay by John McCarthy, Robert Emmett, and Al Jennings; John and Robert also wrote the original story. This movie was produced by Edward F. Finney, supervised by Lindsley Parsons,  and directed by John McCarthy.
